Obituary
Vincent James Paulsel was born on April 5, 1950, in Austin, Texas, and went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 28, 2026. Vince was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur J. Paulsel and Lenora (Zebava) Paulsel, and his brother, Timothy Paulsel. Vince served on the New Waverly City Counsel from 1995 - 2018. Vince dedicated many years of service as a supervisor with Louisiana-Pacific Corporation before retiring.
Following his retirement, he pursued a second career in education, putting his bachelor’s degree from Sam Houston State University to work as a teacher with the Windham School District, where he ultimately retired. Throughout his career, Vince was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to helping others. Above all else, Vince was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who always put his family first.
He found great joy in spending time with those he loved and created lasting memories through his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he cherished every opportunity to spoil them and celebrate their accomplishments. Vince is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Margaret Paulsel; his sons, Evan Paulsel and Dewey Miller II; his daughters, Staci Brown and Page Burleyson and her husband, Joey; and his nine beloved grandchildren: Brent Baker and his wife, Sarah; Brittni Rouse; Koby Adams and his wife, Hannah; Kolton Adams; Jamie Burleyson; Melanie Burleyson; Alyssa Sanchez; and London and Zoe Miller.
He was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy. Vince will be remembered for his steadfast faith, his love for family, his dedication to his work and students, and the kindness he extended to everyone he met. His legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
