Theokles Chase Tunning

Obituary

Theokles Chase Tunning, beloved son of Toby and Siana Tunning, passed peacefully in the arms of his parents on February 10th , after a courageous and extraordinary journey that touched countless lives. Theo was born on April 7, 2025, at just 24 weeks gestation weighing 14oz- tiny, fragile, but immediately a warrior. Though his beginning was uncertain and many odds were stacked against him, his life was anything but insignificant. For the short time we were gifted with Theo, he fought with a strength that humbled seasoned doctors and inspired those who learned of his story. He taught those around him what resilience looks like, what unconditional love feels like, and how even the smallest life can leave the deepest imprint- without using any words. Theo endured more in his short life than most do in a lifetime. His life is defined not by the length of his days, but by the depths of his impact. Most importantly though, Theo truly lived up to his name sake- “Glory to God”. While on this 309 day journey, his parents knew that every new path for Theo was a way for him to bring together friends, family, nurses, doctors, and even strangers who followed his journey through Facebook. Each day was a new opportunity for Theo’s story to touch the hearts within the community he built and bring them closer to God.

He is survived by his loving parents, Siana and Toby, grandparents, countless aunts, uncles, and cousins. Theo joins his G-pa, Scott Fisher, in eternal peace. Though our arms ache in his absence, we find comfort in knowing that Theo knew nothing but love. He was held. He was cherished. He was celebrated. He was our miracle child. A service to honor Theo’s life will be held at University Heights Baptist Church in Huntsville, TX at 1:00 PM on February 16th, 2026. We would love to see our guests wear either baby blue or navy blue and white in Theo's honor. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the following organizations who helped our family while in the NICU: https://www.nofearfoundation.com/donations https://making-memories-for-myles.square.site/s/shop https://compassionatetouch.org/ https://caidenshope.org/#menu Theo’s light will never dim. His fighting spirit will echo in our souls until we take our last breath. His legacy lives on in the strength he gave us, the love he taught us, and the reminder that even the briefest star can illuminate the darkest sky.
