Stacy Galindo

Obituary

Stacy Michelle Galindo Stacy Michelle Smith was born June 7, 1973 in Hondo Texas to David and Jeanie Smith. She went to be with her Lord and Savior December 30, 2025 in Galveston, TX. Stacy passed from this life due to complications from double pneumonia and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN). Stacy lived a hard, but blessed life. Hard because she lived with CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) for most of her life. Many days she found it difficult to just function. However, she also lived a blessed life. Especially in recent years, she was blessed by a strong relationship with the Lord and her family.

She is survived by her son Alex Galindo of Ontario, CA, daughter Kaylee Galindo of Madrid, Spain, granddaughter Macie Galindo of Montgomery, TX, grandson Ari Galindo of Ontario, CA, parents David and Jeanie Smith of Bartlett, TN, best friend and sister Shannon (Kevin) Reid of Southaven, MS, niece Ashley (Mike) Brumley and great nephew Beau Brumley of Millington, TN, nephew Jared Ingram of Tampa, FL, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Stacy was preceded in death by grandparents: James and Jeral Dean Smith and Lee and Jewel Riggs, and infant daughter Chloe Galindo. Stacy held a variety of jobs including working at Big Creek Golf Course in Millington, TN to Old Republic Title Co. in Conroe, TX. All her jobs had one thing in common, dealing with people.

She loved interacting with people and as her mother says: the greeters and workers at Walmart in Montgomery, TX are going to realize something is missing since Stacy isn’t coming in to encourage them. Her passions were God, family, serving the special needs adults, volunteering at the Senior Center, gardening, and rooting for the Texas Longhorns football team.

Family was extremely important to her. She was devoted to raising her granddaughter, Macie. She and Macie would “rock” to Christian music on the way to school. She supported her children and grandchildren in all their school and extracurricular activities. Alex in baseball, football, and ROTC; Kaylee in track, choir, and drama; and Macie in baseball and choir to name a few. She was so excited to go to Madrid Spain to see her daughter Kaylee graduate from St Louis University, Madrid just a couple of weeks before she passed. She will be missed and not forgotten!
