Obituary
Patrick W. O’Shaughnessy passed away on July 2, 2026. Patrick was born October 7, 1942 and raised in Houston. He was predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Lenora and by the love of his life, Corliss to whom he was married 28 years.
He is survived by a son, Patrick and a daughter Lauren. Patrick started his work career while a senior in high school at Kroger and was soon promoted to assistant manager and lastly as store manager, leaving after 10 years. Thereafter he was involved in many career paths including 30 years in law enforcement in both Harris and Montgomery counties. His last 10 years were with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, serving as Chief Inspector under the Inspector General’s office. He was also a licensed Real Estate Broker for over 50 years, a Certified Residential Appraiser, a petroleum landman, a licensed auctioneer, and a residential home builder. He received his BS degree from the U of H and was a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico. He was a Lifetime Committee Member of the Houston Livestock Show serving over 55 years, and a Lifetime Vice President of the Montgomery County Fair Association. Patrick was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plantersville, a Fourth Degree Lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. Patrick enjoyed a very special relationship with his dearest friend and caregiver, Sylvie Acklin, who cared for Corliss before her passing and continued to care for him until his death. Following his desires, there will no formal funeral service. A Memorial Mass will be offered at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plantersville in the near future.
