Patricia Ann Burns

Patrcia Ann Burns July 1, 1935 – June 11, 2026 Patricia, born to Dwight and Lucille Johnson in Port Lavaca on July 1, 1935, peacefully passed from natural causes at the age of 90 surrounded by family June 11, 2026. In her early years, she loved being at the beach. Patricia married Clyde Burns on December 24, 1960. Clyde and Patricia settled in Huntsville, TX in 1969 where they began to raise their four children. Patricia was the matriarch of the Burns family and a proud homemaker and Mom.

She enjoyed cooking, especially for the holidays when all the family were together. Her specialties were cornbread dressing, potato salad, shrimp salad, beef stew, pralines, rum balls, and pumpkin pie. Her hobbies included sewing, playing cards/spades, online slots, dominos, and Scrabble, visiting the casino, and watching her soaps. Patricia was always there for her family, a quiet and gentle person, she loved sitting outdoors visiting with her kids and grandkids. Patricia is survived by her daughters Brenda Coates (husband Howard) and Lisa Burns-Valdez (husband Charley); her son Gregory Burns; her grandchildren Amy, Charley, Jami, Caleb, and Cole; and her great-grandchildren Elliah, Wyatt, Ryder, Savannah, and Avery.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Clyde Wayne (CW), her son Carl, and her grandson Cory. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 pm. Memorial condolences may be made to the family at www.shmfh.com.
