Obituary

Joy Maureen Frazier of Montgomery, TX went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2026 at the age of 85. She was born on May 6, 1940 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She had an unwavering trust and confidence in the promises of her lord and savior, Jesus Christ and was a dedicated member of Montgomery United Methodist Church where she loved singing in the choir as a soprano and worked tirelessly to support the Children’s Clothes Closet, serving many families in the surrounding area. Joy lived a full and active life in the Bentwater community playing many rounds of golf with the Bentwater Ladies Golf Association and many other friends and family.

She enjoyed many nights of dinner parties, wine tastings, canasta, and always loved working on a puzzle. She was preceded in death by parents William and Margie Barron and siblings Wanda Myers and Margie Petion.

She is survived by her loving husband, John Addison Frazier; her brother Archie Barron and wife Diane, sister Peggy “Ali” Lingsch, son and daughter-in-law Scott and Dena Sinclair; daughter Jana Sinclair; grandchildren, Cassidy Sinclair, Gunnar Sinclair, Jayslynn Sinclair; great grandson Tristan Thompson; stepchildren, John A. Frazier Jr. and wife Linda, Courtney Halbrook and husband Koby; and step-grandchildren John E. “Elliott” Frazier and wife Holly, Allison Craig and husband Clay, Jasmine Frazier; Julia Orchid, Elijah Orchid, Luke Orchid; and step-great grandchildren Tristan Craig, Addison Craig, Heidi Frazier and John F. “Fritz” Frazier. As described by those who are suffering her loss today, “She was true to her namesake, Joy, a sparkle, a light now dimmed on this earth but visible in the skies above. A truly exemplary Christian woman.” Joy’s Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 2:00PM at the Montgomery United Methodist Church, 22548 Hwy 105W, Montgomery, TX 77356.
