In memoriam
Jason Wayne Viator
November 21, 1975
Obituary
Jason Wayne Viator of Coldspring TX, went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2026. Jason was born on November 21, 1975, in Houston, Texas. Jason graduated from Channelview High School in 1993. Jason followed his father's footsteps by working at Mikel Machine, where he spent his entire 30-year career. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Coldspring. Jason found great joy in cooking with his daughter, fishing, hunting, playing golf with his son, and sitting on his porch with his family. He was the biggest presence, and the brightest light in every room. To know him, was to laugh with him. Jason and Monica were high-school sweethearts. They were married 25 years, and have two beautiful children, Taylor and Hunter Viator. Jason was a deeply devoted family man. He was a loving father, husband, and supportive dad. His kids were his biggest achievements and favorite part of life. He never missed a single event, and he was the loudest in the stands and on the field. He could recall every football play Hunter would run, and every cheer Taylor would yell. He truly was the world's greatest dad. Jason loved the term "girl-dad". He spent 21 years showing his daughter every song, recipe, and the meaning of every little thing. He saw her as his twin flame, and his partner in crime. They never went anywhere without each other. Jason spent 17 years giving every piece of his knowledge to his son. Coaching him and teaching him everything he knew. They spent their time playing golf tournaments together, and bonding over the memories of him coaching Hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Monica Viator, and their two kids, Taylor and Hunter Viator. His sister, Kristy Daigle, and her husband Shannon Daigle. Father and Mother-in-law, Donald and Beverly Clark. Sister-in-Law, Jessica Green, and her husband Eric Green. Brother-in-Law Jason Clark, and his wife Griffin Clark. His niece, Madison Cole, and his three nephews, Michael Daigle, Dirk Daigle, and Cain Daigle. Jason was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Marie Viator. A service to celebrate Jason’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, we request that you go outside at sunset and admire God’s creation, the same way Jason did every single night. Mon laime toi Jason Wayne 2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought long and hard for my Lord, and through it all I have kept true to him. And now the time has come for me to stop fighting and rest.”
