Dennis Elmer Humphrey

Dennis Elmer Humphrey,77, went to be with the lord on May 27th 2026. He was born on August 4th 1948 in Huntsville, Tx to Elmer and Ina Humphrey. He and his two sisters, Nettie and Maxine were raised in Pine Prairie until they moved to Channelview TX where he met his future wife in 1967. He was married to Judy Louise Humphrey for almost 59 years and they had two children; daughter Rhonda Reynolds and son Jaime Humphrey. Dennis worked for Lubrizol in Deer Park Tx for 35 of those years between 1970 and 2005 where he met many lifelong friends.

He enjoyed many years of hunting and fishing with family and friends all over Texas on several deer leases and as a member of a bass fishing club where he competed in many tournaments around the state. After retiring he continued to enjoy hunting, fishing, and gardening on their homestead at Mossy Oaks Ranch in Huntsville where he spent much of his time with his grandsons and great grandsons. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all of those who showed Dennis their love and friendship over the years. He will be deeply missed by us all. Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer (1994) and Ina (2020) Humphrey.

He is survived by his wife Judy Humphrey; daughter Rhonda Reynolds and husband Jonathon; son Jaime Humphrey and wife Jodi; grandsons, Philip Schoonover III and wife Madison; Jackson Schoonover and partner Anja; Ian Humphrey, Sheldon Humphrey, Tristan Humphrey; great grandsons, Silas Schoonover and Daniel Schoonover; sisters; Nettie Humphrey, Maxine Humphrey Rees and husband Morgan and many nieces and nephews.
