David Edward Henning

David “Dave” E. Henning, aged 83, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026. A loved brother, uncle, and friend, Dave will be remembered for his kindness and dry sense of humor. He earned his Electrical Engineering Degree at Iowa State University and then served in the Army for 2 years at White Sands Missile Range during the Vietnam War. He worked as an electrical engineer for over forty-five years and volunteered at his local church. He also enjoyed college football, traveling the US, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julia and Albert Henning, Sr; and his siblings, Marilyn Chapin, Albert Henning, Jr. and Carol Mumford. A Memorial Service of thanksgiving will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Huntsville on March 24, 2026 at 11 a.m. Donations may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
