Obituary
Andrea Stanford, born January 17, 1956, in New Haven, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026. A devoted Christian and member of Grace Baptist Church, Andrea lived her life grounded in faith, kindness, and joy.
She is survived by her loving husband, Mike Stanford; her brother, Karl Badalian; her children, Wendy Cassman Maurer, Stephen Matthew Cassman, and Twiggy (Maryanne) Gostic; and her cherished grandchildren, Carter Maurer, Jackson Carruthers, Arielle Gostic, and Gwendolen Cassman. Andrea’s steadfast devotion to her family and unwavering love for God guided every part of her life and inspired all who knew her. Andrea found great joy in nature and shared her gift for beauty through her business, Angels in the Garden, where she transformed flower beds and yards into vibrant reflections of care and creativity. Whether tending her garden, drinking coffee, or sharing laughter over her favorite Peanuts character, Snoopy, she had a way of making every place she went—and everyone she met—feel special and loved. She will be remembered for her grace, warmth, and the gentle spirit that made the world around her bloom.
