New Waverly Public Library will host Senior Country Connections, an afternoon of food, games and fellowship for adults ages 50 and older.
Guests will be served a homemade comfort-food lunch featuring chicken and dumplings, smothered green beans with bacon, cornbread, assorted homemade desserts, sweet tea, lemonade and coffee.
After lunch, attendees are invited to stay for dominoes, card games, board games and conversation. The event is designed to give area seniors an opportunity to enjoy a meal, relax and connect with others in the community.
Admission is free. Donations are welcome and appreciated.
