Holiday concert fills Huntsville High School Performing Arts Center with music, generosity, and hope.
On Saturday, November 15, the Huntsville community gathered for an evening of Christmas music, kicking off the holiday season and raising $10,000 for HISD Social Services. The funds will support more than 220 local students who are unhoused, food insecure, or facing urgent needs.
The concert, co-presented by Bill Fick Ford and Postcards Magazine, featured the award-winning 3 Heath Brothers, nationally recognized for their tight harmonies, high-energy performances, and inspirational message. Their holiday concert filled the new Huntsville High School Performing Arts Center with joyful music and a spirit of unity.

Local partners MidSouth Electric Cooperative, Terri Coleman Realty, and Walker County Federal Credit Union also helped make the event possible.
At the close of the program, the Postcards Magazine team presented Juanita Hall of HISD Social Services with the donation. Hall thanked the audience on behalf of the district, “Thank you for showing up as a community and caring about these children.”
The evening was also a milestone for the school district. Matthew Lahey, Executive Director of Community Engagement for HISD, shared his appreciation for the significance of the event.
“This concert was the first non-HISD event held in the new Performing Arts Center. We couldn’t have had a more excellent event to showcase this beautiful facility to our community. Everything was just top-notch.”

The 3 Heath Brothers said they were honored to help make a difference and were moved by the turnout. “Huntsville showed up with so much heart,” Nicholas Heath of the group said. “We love being part of events where the community rallies around kids. Tonight was special.”
Karen Altom, Publisher of Postcards Magazine, expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support. “We had been planning this concert for well over a year, but just a few weeks ago, we learned of the great need that Social Services had. Our team kicked it into gear and with the help of our amazing sponsors and this community, we were able to help fill a need. Neighbors helping neighbors is simply who we are in Huntsville.”

She added that the night represented the best of the community during this season of gratitude. “This evening wasn’t just about music—it was about giving hope, meeting real needs, and reminding our students that their community cares deeply for them.” As Thanksgiving approaches, Altom shared, “It is wonderful to see our town come together and share our blessings for children who need us most.”
All proceeds from ticket sales, and additional gifts made during the event, were donated directly to HISD Social Services. The funds will provide meals, clothing, toiletries, laundry supplies, emergency support, and small holiday gifts for students who often go without.
