Yvonne Youngblood Parkhill Fowler passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025.
Yvonne was born on November 30, 1930, in Timpson, Texas. She was the youngest of five children born to Lee and Ora Youngblood. After graduating high school, she attended Sam Houston State University and graduated in 1951. Upon graduation, she went on to teach education in Rogers, Texas. In 1952, she married Elwood Parkhill and raised three children, Diane, Steve, and David.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1982, after 30 wonderful years of marriage. In 1984 her youngest son, David, passed from a motorcycle accident. She married Robert “Bob” Fowler in 1989 and enjoyed a happy marriage filled with lots of traveling and golf until his death in 2019, followed by son Randy Fowler and granddaughter Lisa Fowler.
Yvonne enjoyed playing golf at Elkins Lake and hit her first hole-in-one witnessed by her daughter. She loved her time with friends playing bridge and other social events at Elkins Lake. One of her favorite passions...
